How to ban smoking without forcing it on its audience, in No Smoking.

So I have a bone to pick with the writer and director Anurag Kashyap’s No Smoking. If you have to, if you feel necessary to go off track, stopping the clock. And just meander in a metaphorical world, then why would you choose a darker track as such to make your audience exhaust and moan and cringe on their seat. Now, I get that it is true to the tone of the film. But I’d like to see Anurag try and sandwich his world with something sweet. Now that was his creative choice and I was questioning his choice. But as far as executing that choice is concerned, Anurag doesn’t hold back and delivers a jarring memory to be haunted with.
