How to be in love with your genre and just talk about that love for more than five hours, in Gangs Of Wasseypur.

Though mechanical, informational, novel-alike detailed, the writer and director Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur is a major forward pass in terms of filmmaking of not-anyone-else-but for Anurag’s himself. We see him strip scene after scene and sincerely, carefully carve a good cinematic experience. How can we make this scene better, different, impactful? As a result, it turns into this epic tale of generations colliding against the ideologies of each other. Personally, I do connect to the first one more than the second one, something that Anurag admittedly predicts that the Indian audience would connect to, there is an A grade quality truth, honesty, in the first part that left a lasting impression on me. Something that makes sense the most to me.
