How to be so bold that people call out on your stupidity, in Black Friday.
In this document-series type of shot of the writer and director Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday. what we are bound to get is the suffocation, irritation of the terror. And who better to personify that emotion than Kay Kay Menon, who I feel sensationally, barks at his opponents as logic, humanity plummets down so low in front of him. There is this one scene in the film where it states some allegations and reveals few political names and in that scene where the maker stripes himself naked in front of the audience, Menon lawyers up so magnetically that it reminded me of that tiny glimpse in Daniel Craig’s eyes in Knives Out as he consoles Ana De Armas. That is both execution and performance conquering over the script.
