How to get behind a podium and just preach without a care, in Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan.
Five minutes in the film and everything felt forced, shoved into our face in the name of drama. No reasoning. The plot happens, for the sake of it. The characters speak out information, sometimes it gets the unsung insight properly. But unfortunately, those are not related to the theme of the film. Which also brings out another issue, that the film throws everything on the wall and what sticks is accepted with open arms. The writer and director Hitesh Kewalya’s Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan may have its heart in the right place, but let’s be honest that’s not enough. That is never enough. All the other aspects of the filmmaking are either left untouched or unintentionally spoiled.
