How to cheat and distract to achieve that beautiful lie that we are all afraid of, in Se7en.

A conversation between Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman is a beautiful summation of what and where is this all coming from or leading towards or is all about. A conversation not about the characters or the case, but the genre that they reside in. It is the film’s biggest asset. For the director David Fincher’s Se7en is often considered as the testimonial crime genre thriller but for the most part, the good part of the film emerges as a front runner of a good character study that frankly is hiding a mean joke behind that smirk. That punchline is the final, the ultimate trick that Fincher holds on to, so dearly. What you get is indeed fate and a spiritual response to all the questions questioned and the answers answered.
